Burt'S Hotel - Melrose

Comfortable and well-equipped rooms, with great breakfast with home-made jams that added a good touch. The dining services were excellent. The atmosphere, however, felt slightly dated, and the check-in process could use some streamlining to enhance the experience. The location, although charming, can be tricky to navigate for first-time visitors.

Everything was spotless, had a superb stay for one night. The location was amazing in taken in the lovely restaurant. What's more, it was near to the center of town, and Abbotsford, the Border abbeys and all that the birders have to offer.

Really good local cuisine

The restaurant had amazing Scottish cuisine, and the huge fish and chips for dinner were a highlight. A cozy bar with a solid selection of whisky added to the ambiance.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Food was top notch, especially the traditional scottish dishes. The beer garden was perfect with nice comfy cushions. Bedroom was clean and cozy, we loved the vibe of the place.

only issue was the noise from the bar late at night and the wifi wasn't very strong in our room.

The staff displayed really good hospitality from check-in to check-out. I felt very welcomed and appreciated the comfortable bed which ensured a restful night.

Really good Stay with a Cozy Atmosphere

The staff were friendly and were great too. Breakfast was a real highlight, with local ingredients and a good full Scottish spread. The only downside was that the Wi-Fi connection could use improvement.

We enjoyed local activities like clay pigeon shooting and explored beautiful golf courses nearby. The service was really good, and we loved the hearty breakfasts. Don't miss out on trying their wonderful dinner options too!

I did find my single room lacked a nice view, a bit dark .

I stayed here for a wedding celebration after visiting melrose before. The rooms were better than my last experience, and the staff went out of their way to make everything perfect. The food was amazing, especially the freshly prepared breakfasts.

Delicious meals, charming atmosphere.

I enjoyed a night here during my trip. The food was superb, especially the goats cheese cheesecake that left a lasting impression on me. The staff were helpful and accommodating throughout my stay. It was a great way to unwind with family.

I found some aspects could be improved upon, such as the view from my room not being inspiring enough. A brighter decor could have enhanced the atmosphere.
